Waylon was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). He received life-changing gene therapy at just one month old. Now 2.5 years old, he's thriving and exceeding milestones. To give back, we're hosting a benefit ride featuring motorcycles, cars, tractors, and trucks to raise funds for CURE SMA and spread awareness. Riders will return to park for hot dogs, cold drinks and chips.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease affecting motor neurons, leading to muscle weakness and atrophy. It's a leading genetic cause of death in infants. While there's no cure, treatments can manage symptoms and slow progression.
The cost is $15.00 for each rider / vehicle. Additional people are $5.00 each. You can also make an additional donation for a custom poker chip.
We’re inviting everyone to join us for Cruisin’ for a Cure Waylon’s Ride, a benefit ride where every cent raised will be donated directly to Cure SMA. All proceeds will support SMA research and resources, with donations presented at this year's Walk-n-Roll event in October.
Join us in honoring Waylon's journey and helping others affected by SMA!
Teel Park is located at 3621 Riner Road in Riner, VA.
