The American Foundry Society at Virginia Tech presents their Annual Fall Open Foundry Day on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Virginia Tech's Kroehling Advanced Materials Foundry.
The American Foundry Society at Virginia Tech opens up our foundry for friends and family to come in and enjoy our foundry. Learn about our facilities and take home your own sand mold art cast in iron as a memento of your visit!
For ages 8 and up. Minor participants must be under adult supervision at all times.
All participants must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.
The Virginia Tech American Foundry Society Student Chapter strives to promote and expand student involvement in the casting industry as well as public awareness of metal casting through internal networking, educational workshops, and community outreach programs.
