The Pilot School & Community Center presents their Annual Music Festival on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
Celebrate Pilot School & Community Center with an afternoon of music from The Kipps Family, Jean Keith and Russel and Tracey Brewster. There will also be corn hole and food & drinks available for purchase.
Admission is free and the event is family friendly.
The Pilot School was built in 1921 and served as an elementary school for over 40 years. Four such schools were built in Montgomery County, Virginia, but Pilot is the only one still standing. When the County built a new school in the 1960s, local residents bought the building and donated it to serve as a community center. This landmark building has qualified to be placed on the Virginia and National Registers of Historic Places. Local residents are now fund raising to pay for a new door installation and much needed repairs, all while preserving the historical integrity of the structure
Convenient parking will be available on site. Please bring a lawn chair.
The event will be held outside and is subject to change due to inclement weather.
