The Habitat for Humanity ReStore presents the Never Forget Picnic Table Build & Celebration on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in their parking lot.
Schedule of Events:
• 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM: Volunteer Build
• 4:00 PM: Celebration Event
The Never Forget Picnic Table Build & Celebration honors the 24th anniversary of 9/11 by building 24 picnic tables. Following the build, we’ll hold a community celebration and remembrance event which will be open to the public. We will hope you join us for this event with speakers, music, and food trucks. The event honors the courage and sacrifice of our first responders, veterans and community heroes.
During the Volunteer Build from 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM, we welcome firefighters, police officers, veterans, and community volunteers to sign up and help build 24 picnic tables that will be placed throughout the community in honor of 24 years since 9/11 to serve our local neighborhoods.
To sign-up and to volunteer, visit: https://www.habitatnrv.org/volunteer.
Then click to create an account with Volunteer Up, select the 9/11 event, and choose your preferred shift.
Even if you can’t volunteer during the day, come join us in the evening starting at 4:00 PM to commemorate, connect, and celebrate community spirit and all service members.
Admission is free.
Let’s come together to build more than just tables, let’s build unity, remembrance, and hope.
