The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech and the Christiansburg Parks & Rec presents the free workshop titled "BMX Bike Flatlanding with Heru Anwari" on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at the Christiansburg Recreation Center back parking lot.
Led by award-winning BMX flatland rider Heru Anwari of 360 ALLSTARS, this fun, physical, and hands-on workshop is a fantastic opportunity for BMX riders to learn from one of the world’s best flatlanders.
Participants will learn spinning, balancing, and rolling tricks, test their skills on an obstacle course and learn the best techniques for falling to avoid injuries.
The workshop is free though registration is required.

For ages 13-17 and open to all skill levels.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and a bike helmet. All attendees must bring their own BMX bike.
In case of rain, the location will be moved to the Parks and Recreation Warehouse located at 415 Cambria Street in Christiansburg, VA.
The Christiansburg Recreation Center is located at 1600 North Franklin St in Christiansburg, VA.
