Lyric Theatre presents "Touch of Evil" as part of its Spotlight Series featuring director Orson Welles on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
The August Spotlight Series celebrates one of the most influential filmmakers in cinema history, Orson Welles.
"Touch of Evil", released in 1958, is a drama thriller and is rated PG-13. The film stars Charlton Heston, Orson Welles and Janet Leigh and was directed and co-written by Orson Welles.
Film Synopsis:
When a car bomb explodes on the American side of the U.S./Mexico border, Mexican drug enforcement agent Miguel Vargas begins his investigation, along with American police captain Hank Quinlan. When Vargas begins to suspect that Quinlan and his shady partner, Menzies, are planting evidence to frame an innocent man, his investigations into their possible corruption quickly put himself and his new bride, Susie, in jeopardy.
