The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech presents their August Beyond the Frame featuring the New River Art Juried Biennial on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Elevate your art experience with our monthly noontime curator tour, Beyond the Frame. Explore work by more than 45 regional artists across both our upper and lower galleries, hear behind-the-scenes stories, and see the show from a new perspective before it closes August 23rd.
Join Center for the Arts Curator Brian Holcombe for a deep dive into our exhibitions on the second Thursday of every month. Starting promptly at 12:00 PM in the Grand Lobby, the tours are free and open to the public.
Holcombe provides expert insight and contextualization, offers behind-the-scenes glimpses into the acquisition and installation processes, and answers your questions.
Learn more about the artists featured in the galleries and their works, including historical and thematic contexts, and be inspired to look at art and the creative process in new ways.
