Radford University and the City of Radford presents the 2nd Annual Radford Community Fest on Saturday, August 23, 2025 on East Main Street between Tyler Avenue and Third Avenue.

Music Schedule:
• 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Sky Dolphin
• 12:30-2:00 PM: Phat Laces
• 2:30-4:00 PM: Domino Band
• 4:30-6:00 PM: Crawford & Power

The annual Radford Community Fest is a free community celebration. Community members, students and their families, university staff and faculty, and guests from the region are invited. East Main Street will be full with over 100 local vendors, five food trucks, a main stage with live music all day, street performers including the Fluidity Performance Troupe, Kids' Zone, community engagement, and the downtown Radford merchants you love are hoping to see you as well!

With roots in country, Americana, and southern rock, Crawford & Power seek to put their twist toward a classic country music revival. Authentically southern, Jake Crawford's powerful vocal blended with a modern approach to the Dobro from Ethan Power, create a brand of country that has been lauded as a breath of fresh air to the genre. Rooted in southern authenticity, Jake Crawford's commanding vocals seamlessly blend with Ethan Power's modern Dobro approach, crafting their own brand of Appalachian Red Dirt Country.

The Franklin County, VA based band has opened for a variety of artists including The Marshall Tucker Band, Willie Nelson, Travis Tritt, The Charlie Daniels Band, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, 38 Special, Gary Allan, and Jerry Douglas, among many other major acts.

With the help of their debut EP, "Play a Hank Jr. Song," the duo has quickly eclipsed over 6 million on-demand streams. Crawford & Power followed up their debut release with two singles in 2019, "She Liked to Get High" and "Dancing Alone" and began 2020 by releasing, "Letting You Go". The duo released "What I've Been Missin'," on August 20th, 2021. That was followed by fan favorite "Moonshine", "Country Boys Like Me", and "I'd Like a Shot" in early 2022.

As they set their sights on 2025 and beyond, Crawford & Power are preparing new music and continued musical exploration. This duo is just getting started, poised to captivate audiences with their evolving sound.

The Domino Band is a high-energy horn band based in Roanoke, Virginia, specializing in classic R&B, Soul, and Old-School Funk! The Domino Band is all about preserving the classic soul, R&B, and funk sounds of yesterday, updated with their own flavors of today. If you enjoy Al Green, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Kool and the Gang, and other R&B-influenced artists of the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s and today, you'll love The Domino Band.

Domino has backed the legendary Percy Sledge and opened for Delbert McClinton, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The Impressions, and country music superstars Tracy Byrd, Trace Adkins, Trick Pony, Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence, and Blake Shelton.

Domino members have performed or recorded with The Stylistics, Sister Sledge, the Temptations, members of Tower of Power, Chicago, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, The Headhunters and more.

Inspired by their mutual love for rap and funk, Phat Laces was created. The vision was to form an instrument driven group that could convey the true feel of hip-hop. The band melds incredible musicianship with dope rhymes, stellar singing, and savory solos. The Laces take you on a ride through the 50 years of hip-hop. Slaying the stylings of The Sugar Hill Gang, Outkast, Biggie, Mac Miller, and much more, they are Mos Def going to get your Body Movin’!

Sky Dolphin is a powerhouse trio from Roanoke, VA that is a collaboration between some of Roanoke’s finest and most versatile musicians. With a focus on improvisational inspiration, Sky Dolphin effortlessly combines aspects of music from 1920 up to 2024.

Powerhouse vocals from Charissa Joy will have you singing along, Brian McKee’s impeccable percussion playing will have you grooving, and Seph Custer’s instrumental versatility will leave you questioning where genres intersect one another.

The Kids' Zone features inflatables, sand art, face painting, balloon artist, coloring area and more. The kid’s zone is completely free and is sponsored by Fraternity & Sorority Life at Radford University as part of their commitment to service and local community engagement.

Street parking is allowed as posted throughout the City of Radford. Additional city and university parking lots are available. The Radford Transit will be in service and will drop off at the Bus Hub located at 1000 E. Main Street. Handicapped parking is offered at The Hub at 1000 E Main St, Radford.
