Meadows of Dan presents the 20th Annual Meadows of Dan Folk Fair on Saturday, August 17, 2024 spread throughout town from the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church down to the Meadows of Dan Community Center.
Schedule of Entertainment:
• 9:30 AM: History of Mayberry Church Presentation at Mayberry Presbyterian Church
• 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Sheep Shearing & Fiber Arts Tent at Poppy's
• 10:30 AM: Wine Talks with Villa Appalachia Winery at the Community Center
• 11:30 AM: The Sauerkraut Band in Concert at Primitive Coffee
• 12:00 PM: The Country Boys in Concert at the Community Center
• 1:00-4:00 PM: Triquetra in Concert at Villa Appalachia Winery
• 2:00-4:00 PM: Meadows of Dan Ruritans 75th Anniversary Celebration at the Community Center
• 2:30 PM: Left Over Biscuits in Concert at the Community Center
• 5:00 PM: Old Fashion Singing at Concord Primitive Baptist Church
• All Day: Old-Fashioned Peach Butter Making at Jane's Cafe
Join us for a free family-friendly folk fair featuring music, food, local shops plus local artisan & craft vendors!
We will have many local vendors & crafters selling their homemade craft items, the Meadows of Dan Elementary School will be holding their annual fish fry, Shan's Concessions and LG Confections and Wacky Waco Waffle will also be on site along with Stanburn Winery with their award-winning wines. There will also be activities for the kids provided by Outdoor Entertainment.
As part of the festival, the Meadows of Dan Ruritan Club celebrate 75 years of community service in the Meadows of Dan Community from 2:00-4:00 PM featuring a celebration with refreshments and the band Left Over Biscuits performing.
There is plenty of easy parking with a shuttle service to connect the various event areas. Parking will be available at the church and also in the grass area of Frontier Home (formerly Meadows of Dan Tractor).
Note: A number of vendors will be operating on a cash only basis.
A genuine small community happening!
The Meadows of Dan commercial district is located along Business US 58 in Meadows of Dan, VA just east of the Blue Ridge Parkway interchange at milepost 177.7.
