A Spaghetti Dinner and Vendor Event will be held for Local Firefighter Chris Thornton on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Rich Creek Community Center in Giles County, VA.
Event Schedule:
• 8:45-9:20 AM: Pet Show Registration begins
• 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Vendor Show and Snow Cone Truck On-Site
• 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM: Silent Auction
• 9:30 AM: Pet Show begins
• 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM: 50/50 Raffle
• 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Car Wash
• 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Spaghetti Dinner
• 2:30 PM: Raffle Drawing
Join the event to help local firefighter Chris Thornton who is battling pancreatic cancer. There will be a spaghetti dinner, vendors, car wash, special pet show, snow cone truck, raffle, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and more.
Chris is 45 years old and lives in Rich Creek with his wife Amy and their son and he has been a volunteer firefighter with the Rich Creek Volunteer Fire Department and served as an EMT for 25 years. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on November 21, 2023 and has made many trips to see his team of doctors at the UVA Medical Center as well as received nine chemo treatments thus far and will continue to incur more medical costs as he continues his battle with cancer.
All proceeds will benefit Chris and his family.
The Chris Thornton Benefit Dog Show is a suggested donation of $10.00 per dog and dogs can enter all the classes you want.

If you don't have a dog, you can enter your stuffed animal. All dogs must be leashed and under handler control at all times. Proof of rabies vaccination is required at registration.
