Science on Tap - New River Valley presents their August event titled "Growing Glade Road Growing" on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.
Join us to hear from Sally Walker and Jason Pall, the owners of Glade Road Growing, as they guide us through their journey of building a farm and beloved pillar of the New River Valley community. As a newly married couple 14 years ago, they knew they wanted to be outdoors, and starting with little agricultural experience they developed the knowledge and skills to grow a farm and a business. Learn about how they turned some rolling pastureland into a productive farm and taste some of their delicious vegetables!
Science on Tap is presented by Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science and the Virginia Tech chapter of Sigma Xi.
All events are open to the public without charge.
