The Town of Floyd continues their 7th Annual Floyd Small Town Summer event series with Crawford & Power and The Jared Stout Band and a special screening of the movie "Wonka" on Thursday, August 1, 2024 outside at Warren G. Lineberry Memorial Park.

Event Schedule:
• 6:00 PM: Gates Open
• 6:30 PM: The Jared Stout Band
• 7:45 PM: Crawford & Power
• 9:00 PM: Screening of "Wonka"

Join us for an evening of alt-country fun with two incredible bands. We'll start off the evening with The Jared Stout Band and then head into a exciting set by Crawford & Power. Following by the screening of "Wonka" under the stars.

In addition to all of the regular activities we have some special additions tonight! Cocoa Mia is presenting a Chocolate Station with Chocolate Fountain and Golden Tickets for the kids. Pet Daisy Dowd the pony. The Floyd Girls Scouts and Collins Welding are presenting a bon fire with smores. Spikenard Bee Sanctuary will be raffling some of their honey for the adults plus face painting, bounce house, ice cream stand and more!

With roots in country, Americana, and southern rock, Crawford & Power seek to put their twist toward a classic country music revival. Authentically southern, Jake Crawford's powerful vocal blended with a modern approach to the Dobro from Ethan Power, create a brand of country that has been lauded as a breath of fresh air to the genre. Rooted in southern authenticity, Jake Crawford's commanding vocals seamlessly blend with Ethan Power's modern Dobro approach, crafting their own brand of Appalachian Red Dirt Country.

The Franklin County, VA based band has opened for a variety of artists including The Marshall Tucker Band, Willie Nelson, Travis Tritt, The Charlie Daniels Band, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, 38 Special, Gary Allan, and Jerry Douglas, among many other major acts.

With the help of their debut EP, "Play a Hank Jr. Song," the duo has quickly eclipsed over 6 million on-demand streams. Crawford & Power followed up their debut release with two singles in 2019, "She Liked to Get High" and "Dancing Alone" and began 2020 by releasing, "Letting You Go". The duo released "What I've Been Missin'," on August 20th, 2021. That was followed by fan favorite "Moonshine", "Country Boys Like Me", and "I'd Like a Shot" in early 2022.

As they set their sights on 2025 and beyond, Crawford & Power are preparing new music and continued musical exploration. This duo is just getting started, poised to captivate audiences with their evolving sound.

The Small Town Fall Festival Event Series is free and open to the public.

The Town of Floyd offers this series of free events to provide a fun, family-friendly atmosphere in downtown Floyd, VA. Featuring music, movies, face-painting, inflatables, games, food and beverage and special activities presented by a variety of community organizations!

Bring your lawn chair and/or blanket.

Gates will be open and access provided to the public starting at 6:00 PM.
