As part of the 2024 Mary Draper Ingles Festival, Tour the Ingles Tavern on Saturday, July 27, 2024 with shuttle pickup at the Mary Draper Ingles Statue located on the grounds of Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery.

See the historic Ingles Tavern built around 1772 and the Ingles Ferry landing! The Ingles Tavern served many famous historic figures traveling through the area including Daniel Boone, Andrew Jackson and William Clark of Lewis and Clark. The ferry served soldiers and civilians until 1948. A bridge was built at the site in 1842, but was burned during the Civil War. This is a great opportunity to see and learn the history of historic places not typically open to the public.

There will be a Flintlock Shooting Competition with 18th Century Reenactors as well.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Note: Visitors may only visit the historic tavern through the shuttle service.

The 2024 Mary Draper Ingles Festival commemorating the capture, escape and the grueling return journey to her home in the New River Valley of one of Virginia’s most famous colonial heroines taking place July 26-28, 2024 in the City of Radford and surrounding communities.

Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery is located at 600 Unruh Drive in Radford, VA.
