The Blacksburg Dance Theater presents the original production "Stone Soup!" with two performances on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 6:00 PM and on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley Foundation on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Join students of all ages from Blacksburg Dance Theater as they perform an original production of the traditional folktale, "Stone Soup"! In this parable of generosity and sharing, the citizens of a small town are reluctant to share the little food they have with a mysterious stranger, but are soon convinced to reconsider their stingy ways when she starts preparing a magical pot of soup. This feel-good show provides the perfect compliment to your holiday celebrations!

Tickets are not needed in advance, but we are kindly asking for a $10.00 suggested donation via cash, check, or Venmo payable upon entry.

And in the spirit of the performance, dancers will also be collecting canned goods at the door. All donations will go to 209 Marketplace, a local food pantry serving Virginia Tech students with food insecurity.

Our dancers and staff have been working so hard in the studio, we cannot wait to finally perform on stage and share this SOUP-er production with our community!

The Wesley Foundation is located at 209 West Roanoke Street in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
