Science on Tap - New River Valley presents the program titled "What Children Teach Us About our Emotions and Cognition" on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.
Studying children's brain development means lots of play so come play with the CAP Lab of Virginia Tech! We'll play memory games, inhibition games, and waiting games with graduate student Jenn Phillips and her labmates. They'll show us what they're learning about emotional and cognitive development in babies and children.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Science on Tap - New River Valley is a monthly event with science-inspired speakers, performers, and discussions. We support bringing science to our community and our community’s support to local research.
We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together and mingle.
