The Giles County Historical Society Museum presents their 2023 Christmas Open House titled "Christmas at the Johnston's" on Saturday, December 2, 2023 and Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 4:30-7:30 PM each day.
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the Andrew Johnston House, as it comes alive by the soft, flickering glow of candlelight. This historic gem welcomes visitors to a magical evening filled with warmth and nostalgia. As you approach, a bonfire in the front yard casts dancing shadows, and the scent of hot apple cider beckons you closer.
Inside, Mrs. Johnston's Kitchen overflows with the aroma of fresh, homemade treats, transporting your senses to a bygone era. Santa will also be available for pictures. The museum and gift shop are also open, offering a glimpse into the past and a chance to find unique holiday treasures.
On December 3rd, the day's festivities culminate in the Pearisburg Christmas Parade at 4:00 PM, making this a perfect opportunity to step into the holiday spirit and create cherished memories in a historical setting.
