Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and the Town of Blacksburg present the 2023 Winter Lights Fest with Tree Lighting Ceremony, Holiday Parade titled "Miracle on Main Street" and Santa Claus on Friday, December 1, 2023 at multiple locations throughout downtown Blacksburg, VA.

Schedule:
• 3:00-8:00 PM: Winter Market on College Avenue and Holiday Open Houses at Participating Merchants
• 4:00 PM: Visit with Santa at the Lyric (bring your own camera)
• 4:30 PM: Holiday Spectacular LEAPettes
• 5:00 PM: Blacksburg Children’s Chorale Caroling
• 5:45 PM: Tree Lighting Ceremony at Henderson Lawn
• 6:00 PM: TubaChristmas co-sponsored by the Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and the Department of Music at Virginia Tech on Henderson Lawn Stage
• 7:00 PM: Holiday Parade

Downtown Blacksburg will be a festive, fun packed hub of activity with something for everyone! Come out for an evening of family fun and holiday cheer!

The year's Holiday Parade theme is "Miracle On Main Street". The parade will begin on Main Street at the Turner Street intersection and will follow Main Street through downtown Blacksburg, ending on Eheart Street. This year’s route is a slight change from previous years. Those who typically watch the parade near the roundabout on Prices Fork Road are encouraged to move closer to the Turner Street intersection and the new beginning of the parade route.

The Holiday Spectacular LEAPettes, Blacksburg Children's Chorale and TubaChristmas performances will all occur on Henderson Lawn.

Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and the Department of Music at Virginia Tech are proud to present TubaChristmas once again, a fabulous downtown holiday tradition since 2009. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Tuba and euphonium players should contact ecrone@vt.edu to participate.

Admission is free to all activities and all are welcome.

In case of rain, the rain make-up date for the parade is Saturday, December 2nd at 7:00 PM.

College Avenue will be closed beginning at 11:00 AM and will reopen at 11:00 PM.
