The YMCA at Virginia Tech continues their 2023 Welcoming Week events with Multilingual Storytime on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Blacksburg Library.
Blacksburg Library is inviting you to visit and get your free library card! During Welcoming Week enjoy a special display of world language collections, bi-lingual books, and books on cultures from around the world. We will be featuring a StoryWalk® display near the library. The Spanish/English bilingual picture book "Nieve en la jungla / Snow in the Jungle" will be printed on signs and displayed outdoors allowing you to walk or wheel from one page to the next.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Welcoming Week brings New River Valley neighbors of all backgrounds together to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places. The YMCA at Virginia Tech is proud to host our 3nd annual Welcoming Week with support from the Town of Blacksburg, Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library, Blacksburg Farmers Market, The Lyric Theatre, Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation, local businesses, community groups and individuals.
Blacksburg Library is located at 200 Miller Street in Blacksburg, VA.
