The Beast of Blacksburg Pizzeria & Bar presents their first Comedy Night on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Join us for the first Beast Comedy Show! Check out the new space and enjoy unlimited pizza and a pitcher of your favorite refreshment. Six talented comedians will be on stage to make you laugh including Jess Williams, Mario Trevizo, Ryan Gordan, Andrew Gustafson, Aayush Patodiya and Pierce Stevens. Hosted by Katherine Rogue.

Although Jess Williams is a New York native, she made her first comedy appearance in the city of Asheville, NC. Known for her dark unexpected humor; Raunchy, direct and shameless are only a few words to begin describing her style. In the past year, Jess has begun making a name for herself in various cities in the south by always bringing big energy to the stage with her take on life and relationships. Exes beware.

Originally from the suburbs of Maryland, Mario Trevizo has made a home for himself with stand up comedy in Asheville, North Carolina. His style focuses on the awkward moments that come with being a non Spanish speaking Mexican transitioning into the south.

Ryan Gordan was born in Western North Carolina. He started his comedy journey in nearby Asheville. After gaining traction on social media, he took to the stage to tell his jokes about addiction and growing up in the Bible Belt. With over 300K followers across different platforms, his videos have been viewed hundreds of millions of times. He has been in a few comedy festivals including the World Series of Comedy.

Andrew Gustafson is from Blacksburg VA and is known for his awkward demeanor and quick jokes. Whether it’s puns, one-liners, or *slightly* embellished stories, Andrew will keep you laughing throughout the show.

Aayush Patodiya is a local standup comedian who started in Blacksburg VA. Using the experiences of growing up brown in southwest Virginia, Aayush tries to have nuanced, witty comedy.

Pierce Stevens is a 22 year old community college dropout. He was raised with 3 siblings in a strict Pentecostal household. Growing up sheltered from reality he wanted to go out in the world and actually talk to people, but he had no practice so he just started by telling jokes, and never grew out of it. When he left his parents' house at the age of 20 comedy became a possibility. After therapy and a steady job he started stand up!
