Due to current inclement weather and continued inclement weather predictions throughout the evening, tonight's Rockin' Main Concert has been canceled. We look forward to Rockin' with you on October 14th!

The Town of Christiansburg and the Christiansburg Parks & Rec continues their Rockin' Main Street Concert Series featuring music from Jimmy Mowery and Jimothy on Saturday, September 9, 2023 along the intersection of Main Street and Roanoke Street in downtown Christiansburg, VA.

Music Schedule:
• 5:00 PM: Jimothy
• 7:00 PM: Jimmy Mowery

The Town of Christiansburg is hosting Rockin' Main Street, a free fun-for-all event with live music from two bands. We’ll start the evening with local band Jimothy taking the stage at 5:00 PM. Be prepared to be blown away when Jimmy Mowery of The Voice takes the stage at 7:00 PM with a combination of cover hits and original songs. Attendees can purchase food and drinks from a selection of food trucks and wine and beer vendors. Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the live performances.

Jimmy Mowery is a pop / rock musician from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and was Top 24 on Season 16 of "The Voice".

He started performing while in high school as a member of local bands and received some notoriety as a member of Like a Movie that was signed to a recording contract and toured the country before the band broke up.

The record label then flew him to Nashville, TN to work with other songwriters to pursue a solo music career. Instead he started another band Wake The Coast who had limited success before disbanding due the band members being scattered across multiple states.

Jimmy moved to Myrle Beach, South Carolina with his girlfriend, who's now his wife, and played 200+ shows a year across South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. He's self-released two EP’s and four singles so far made it to the Top 24 on Season 16 of NBC’s The Voice.

Jimothy is a multi-genre band based around the solo work of singer and guitarist Jim Bohon based in the New River Valley region of Virginia. Jim is a multi-instrumentalist, and performed all instrumentation and vocals on the band's debut album "Never In A Million Years," before fleshing out a full band when the album proved to be popular among local audiences. Jimothy love what they do, and it shines through in their performance, no matter the event or venue.

An assortment of beer and wine options will be available for purchase at this event. All beer and wine proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg. Please bring your IDs if you would like to purchase beer or wine.

Note: Food vendors may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Tables and chairs will be set up along Main Street. However, attendants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit at the square and watch the live music.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
