Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley presents the 2023 TriWizard TriMile Potter in the Park Fun Run on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Bisset Park in Radford, VA.
It's time to venture out from the cupboard under the stairs! We are pleased to inform you that you are invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry's Triwizard Trimile Race!
Bring the whole family and run, walk, apparate, or fly three miles through the wizarding world of Bisset Park (or be a virtual runner using an invisibility cloak).
GOOD FOR A FUN CAUSE! You don’t have to rob Gringott’s Bank to participate in all this Potter fun! Wizard race entry fee is $25.00, 4 Wizards are $80.00. Better bring your magical creature to protect you in the Forbidden Forest, $10.00 for beasts! All proceeds help local adults learn to read.

AGE GROUP AWARDS: Are you faster than a seeker on a Nimbus 2000? In addition to magical medals for the fastest male and female racers, awards will be bestowed upon the male and female wizards with the fastest times in the following age categories: 3-5; 6-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and older. The Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley connects community members who want to strengthen their literacy skills with trained, volunteer tutors. We provide tutoring in both basic literacy (reading and writing) and English as a second language (conversational and basic English skills) to adults in the New River Valley.
We also promote public awareness, cooperative partnerships, information sharing and referrals between literacy programs and communities.
