Friends of Peak Creek presents the Peak Creek Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Heritage Park in Pulaski, VA.

Get knee deep with Friends of Peak Creek and celebrate their 10 year anniversary! We will have 14 nonprofits offering free environmental activities for all ages. Throw in music, food and the chance to earn a free sno-cone and it all adds up to a spectacular day!

Meet and greet some of our rescued wildlife and check out our butterfly garden. We are also doing some fun hands-on things for the kids like a water filtration activity, play animal hopscotch with a ranger from the New River Trail, nature art, bug exploration and a very cool River Clean Up "Operations-style" game.

There will also be in-the-creek activities co-led by Friends of Peak Creek and the New River Valley Chapter of Master Naturalists. You must wear some type of shoes in the creek if you want to participate. We'll be catching and counting critters and finding out why they are important.

Learn how you can make a difference in keeping Peak Creek and the New River Watershed healthy and clean.

Join us for the whole day, or just part of the day.

Friends of Peak Creek Inc., is dedicated to protecting and preserving the environment, historical nature, and recreational and commercial value of Peak Creek, located in Pulaski and Southwest Virginia, for the benefit and enjoyment of all.
