The Floyd Country Historical Society presents the program "Native America: Different Tribes, Different Journeys" on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at The Floyd Center for the Arts.
Karen "Anavae Wolf" Herdman highlights tribal differences between the Eastern Woodland Indians and the Plains Indians, and explains how tribal differences were determined by location and resources.
Learn about the local tribes of Southwest Virginia. View artifacts, including archaic tools, hunting gear and cooking utensils used in our area thousands of years ago.
This is a free public event. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
Parking is available behind the Arts Center. Overflow parking is available across Route 8.
The Floyd Center for the Arts is located at 220 Parkway Lane South, Suite 1 in Floyd, VA.
