The YMCA of Pulaski County presents the 4th Annual YMCA of Pulaski County Highland Games on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Celebrate Scotland's rich history with the Highland Games at the YMCA of Pulaski County. Enjoy a beautiful day of Scottish heritage with games, vendors, food and fun!
This is your opportunity to see professional and amateur Highland Games athletes in action competing in a variety of events. This community event will be outdoors, family friendly with a bouncy castle and free face painting, and food and craft vendors will be on-site.
The Highland Games are classified as a heavy athletics event dating back to the 11th century. Originally the games were a way for Highland warriors to stay in shape between battles. The Highland Games are a great spectator sport and feature men and women competing in Highland games events in multiple classes including the Sheaf Toss, Caber Toss, Stone Put "clachneart", Hammer Throw and more.
Admission is free for spectators.
The cost to compete is $20.00 per athlete.
