Description:
The Virginia Cooperative Extension of Montgomery County, VA presents a Pollinator Walk on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech.
Join us as we celebrate National Pollinator Week by perusing the lovely Hahn Horticulture Garden for pollinators! This session will start with a brief introduction on pollinators, specifically our native pollinators. Then, we'll break into smaller groups to explore the garden and the insects dwelling within.
This is a free, fun, and educational activity for anyone to enjoy!
Advance registration is appreciated to help us anticipate the number of participants and group sizes. Register by contacting Meredith Hoggatt at mhoggatt@vt.edu or 540-382-5790.
NOTE: The event has been rescheduled from Friday, June 23rd to Monday, July 17th due to the inclement weather. Unfortunately, rain and cooler temperatures do not encourage pollinators to be out and about, and we need pollinators for a pollinator walk.
Hahn Horticulture Garden is located at 200 Garden Lane in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
