RunAbout Sports presents the 2023 Downtown Sundown 5K® on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in downtown Blacksburg, VA as part of the Summer Solstice Festival.

Join the fun and run the streets and trails of Blacksburg at sunset! The Downtown Sundown 5k® starts and finishes on Draper Road. The 5K course loops from downtown through Blacksburg on roads and paved footpaths. All miles will be marked. Water will be available on the course. The Downtown Sundown is part of the RunAbout Race Series.

The cost to register is $30.00 per person if register by Friday, June 16th. Registration on race day is $33.00 and participants must be registered by 7:45 PM.

Race day registration for the event will open at 6:00 PM and will close promptly at 7:45 PM.

Packets can be picked up at Runabout Sports on Friday, June 16th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Awards will be presented to the Overall Top Three male and female finishers. The first male and female masters (40+) and grand masters (50+) will receive an award. Age group awards will be awarded three deep, male and female, in the following categories: below 16, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Runners are eligible for one award, which will be determined in the following order of priority: overall, masters, grand masters, age group. Awards will not be mailed.

No animals on the course during the race, headphones are discouraged and strollers and baby joggers need to start at the back.
