The Star City Ballet, farmers and gardeners throughout Roanoke, VA present "These Labored Hills: A dance-theatre piece on food and land" in the area on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Come outside and enjoy an interactive dance-theatre performance on land, food, and community connection in Roanoke.
T?his show will take place outside on farmland on uneven terrain and will include moments of walking, dance, and parading across the land. There will be seats available, but bringing your own picnic blankets and chairs are encouraged.
"These Labored Hills" represents a collaboration with our brilliant community members:
- Star City Ballet
- Star City Circle Singers
- Katie Struble
- Friends of Evan Spring
- Verona Thomas
- The Harvest Collective
- Garden Variety Harvest with Lick Run Farm, and
- Roanoke Community Gardens
- Farmers and gardeners across Roanoke
Tickets are pay-what you-can and all proceeds will go to support our community partners.
