Description:
Science on Tap - New River Valley presents the program "Frog Microbiomes" on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.
Graduate student Korin Jones is studying frog conservation by looking at the microbes living on their skin that can protect them from disease. We'll kick things off with a lit game of trivia and then Korin's going to show us what he's figuring out about how these microbial communities work.
Join us for epic frog trivia and meet biologist Korin Jones to learn about the microbes that live on frogs.
Admission is free.
Science on Tap - New River Valley is a monthly event with science-inspired speakers, performers, and discussions. We support bringing science to our community and our community’s support to local research.
We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together and mingle.
