The Mount Tabor Ruritan Club presents their 2024 June Fish Fry on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Slusser's Chapel Church of God in Blacksburg, VA under the picnic shelter below the lower church parking lot. Enjoy a serving fish, fries, slaw, homemade desserts, and beverage. This month the Blacksburg Community Band will be playing for us. The Blacksburg Community Band, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization formed in 1989 under the auspices of the Department of Parks and Recreation in the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia. The ensemble is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels from the New River Valley and surrounding areas and performs in an average of 20 concerts each year throughout the New River Valley. The band was incorporated in Virginia as a non-profit corporation in 2007. The in-person cost for adults is $12.00 and $6.00 for children ages 3-11 and free for children under the age of 3. Carry-outs are available for $12.00 per plate. This is a fundraiser for the Ruritan Club's community service projects and scholarships. The event will be held rain or shine.
