Ordinary Madmen (Band)
Biography:
Ordinary Madmen is a four-piece band from Nashville, Tennessee.
Before forming Ordinary Madmen, Kyle, Phil and Kody spent years honing their craft and touring with other groups throughout Florida and the mid-Atlantic region. The four finally joined musical paths in late 2016 with a new goal of writing rock n' roll-inspired music for a modern era.
The four first appeared as a group on the Nashville circuit in October 2016 with an invitation to perform at Ascend Amphitheater's VIP Lounge during a sold-out concert. Later to be known as Ordinary Madmen songs, the music was met with praise from those in attendance who had come to watch Phish play the main stage. The group took these new songs to the studio in December to lay down the first tracks of what was to come.
Their fuzzy, bluesy, slithering rock n' roll sound stems from the influences and inspirations of Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, Gary Clark Jr., The Black Keys, Royal Blood, Allen Stone and the like.
