Biography:
Reed Tradition carries forward the mountain music traditions of Southwest Virginia’s New River Valley. Drawing deeply from the repertoire of fiddler Henry Reed and family, the group honors old-time roots with driving rhythms, nuanced melodies, and a living connection to heritage, keeping these timeless tunes vibrant for new generations, today and for future. This band formed from a weekly jam playing for Dean Reed before his passing in 2024.
Together, they bring energy and authenticity to old-time music. The group can be found making music, playing dances, and jamming around the region.
