Biography:
Scott Miller is an American singer-songwriter and roots-rock musician known for his vivid storytelling and blend of Americana, Southern rock, and alternative country. Born in 1968 in Swoope, Virginia, Miller first gained prominence in the 1990s as the frontman of the Knoxville-based band The V-Roys, the first act signed to Steve Earle’s E-Squared Records. After the band disbanded in 1999, he formed Scott Miller and the Commonwealth, further establishing his solo career.
Recently inducted to the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame, fiery roots-rock singer/songwriter Scott Miller returned to his native Virginia to tend the family farm while continuing to release and perform new music informed by that rural area, history, and Appalachia.
