The Town of Floyd continues their 9th Annual Floyd Small Town Summer event series with a Salsa Dance Party featuring JStop Latin Soul and openers the Robert Jospe Quartet on Thursday, July 16, 2026 outside at Warren G. Lineberry Memorial Park.

Jstop Latin Soul is an exciting new Afro-Cuban Jazz project based in Roanoke, Virginia and features some of the finest musicians in Virginia. Their Fiery Salsa, Rumba, Cha-Cha and Afro-Cuban Jazz will keep you dancing all night long.

Robert Jospé is known for his inventive use of rhythmic styles incorporating jazz, blues, funk, Latin and African rhythms into a unique and distinctive style of contemporary drumming. Featuring Robert Jospé on drums, with piano, keyboard, bass and guitar.

There will also be a ton of Kids Zone activities like bounce house, face painting, live animals, crafts, yard games and more.

In addition to all of that, it will also be our second movie night featuring "How To Train Your Dragon" after the music ends. Bring your blanket or chairs and we’ll provide the popcorn.

The Small Town Fall Festival Event Series is free and open to the public.

The Town of Floyd offers this series of free events to provide a fun, family-friendly atmosphere in downtown Floyd, VA. Featuring music, movies, face-painting, inflatables, games, food and beverage and special activities presented by a variety of community organizations from June 4, 2026 until August 27, 2026.

Bring your lawn chair and/or blanket and we'll provide the popcorn for the movie.

Gates will be open and access provided to the public starting at 6:00 PM.
