Runabout Sports presents the 23rd Annual Frosty 5k and Jingle Bell One Mile Fun Run on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 starting and ending behind the Food Lion located at North Main Street in Blacksburg, VA.

Race Schedule:
• 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM: Packet Pickup & Race Day Registration
• 12:30 PM: Jingle Bell Mile Fun Run start
• 1:00 PM: Frosty 5k start
• ~2:15 PM: Awards and Raffle

Run or walk a 5k on Christmas Eve! The race starts and finishes on the soccer field behind the Food Lion on North Main Street in Blacksburg, with the majority of the race run on roads and paved bike paths. Net proceeds from this race will be donated to a charity chosen by the participants. Costumes are welcome and the race always has great door prizes!

The Frosty 5K is a rolling course on the bike paths and roads of the Shenandoah neighborhood. The race finishes with a short grass loop on even terrain. The race has a fast 1st mile and a challenging last mile to help burn those holiday calories! There's an aid station just past two miles. The Jingle Bell Mile is an out-and-back course on the same grass loop and bike paths as the Frosty 5K course.

Every 5K participant is guaranteed a long-sleeve shirt with registration on or before Tuesday, December 16th. Those who register after December 16th can choose from remaining sizes while quantities last. Jingle Bell Mile participants have the option to purchase a shirt during registration while supplies last. All Jingle Bell Mile kid finishers will receive a finisher medal.

The cost is $31.00 for the 5k if you register by Tuesday, December 16th. Late registration is $33.00 and day of race registration is $36.00. The Fun Run is free.

Overall and age group awards will be given out for the top three male & female participants in each category.

Packet pickup is on Monday, December 23rd from 2:00-6:00 PM at Runabout Sports or on race day from 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM.
