The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra performing their "Holiday Pops Spectacular" on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Everyone’s favorite holiday music tradition makes a joyful return to the Moss. Join the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra as it fills the theatre with the spirit of the holidays and the warmth of home with its Holiday Pops Spectacular program. With much to celebrate this holiday season, gather your friends and family for a merry musical program for audiences of all ages.

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra (RSO), founded in 1953, is the largest orchestra in Virginia west of Richmond, and the oldest continuously operating professional symphony in the state.

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra's mission is to enrich lives, educate and entertain diverse audiences in western Virginia with the highest quality instrumental and choral concerts, and to enhance traditional performances with innovative programming.

All of the RSO musicians are paid professionals, and have earned their positions in competitive auditions. Depending on the repertoire, the orchestra expands from small ensembles up to 90-plus musicians as well as full symphonic chorus. Members come from Virginia and surrounding states and rehearse together several days before each performance series.

Tickets range from $40.00-$75.00 depending on seat location and and $10.00 for students with ID and youth 18 and under.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Moss Arts Center Box Office Wednesday-Friday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and by phone at 540-231-5300.

Parking is available in the North End Parking Garage on Turner Street for $5.00. Payment must be made in cash at the time of entry.

In accordance with current Virginia Tech university policy for indoor events, all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to the Moss Arts Center are required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
