The Christiansburg High School Choral Department presents Play "Working, A Musical" with three in-person performances starting on Thursday, May 13, 2021 through Saturday, May 15, 2021 and a livestream performance on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Christiansburg High School Auditorium.

• Sunday, May 16th at 3:00 PM (Livestream)

It is with great excitement that we announce to you a live performance of our spring musical production "Working". This musical commemorates the journeys of essential workers from finding jobs, losing jobs, working from home, traveling, and leaving their mark on the world! We hope you will consider joining us for our first live musical since 2019!

Based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American workers, "Working" paints a vivid portrait of the men and women that the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason and the housewife, just to name a few. Nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic has been updated for a modern age, featuring new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia and James Taylor.

* Note: This show is rated PG, and contains a few minimal swear words throughout the interview scenes.

We are pleased to be able to offer a live stream option for this year. This is scheduled content, which means it is only viewable on Sunday, May 16th at 3:00 PM. We anticipate this being a video of Thursday night's performance.
