Description:
Claytor Lake State Park celebrates National Maple Syrup Day with "Intro to Maple Syrup" on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Aside from enjoying a breakfast worthy of real maple syrup today, now is a great time to get ready for maple syrup season in just a few weeks. Have you ever thought about making maple syrup at home? Are you simply curious about how maple syrup is made?

We'll simplify the process from "tree to treat" and show you what you need to make and enjoy Virginia maple syrup, while we can. We'll be meeting inside the Meeting Facility for the presentation and seating is available.

The event is free, but the $7.00 state park parking fee still applies.

Weather permitting, we'll kick off our "Sappy Saturday" maple syrup demonstrations in January.

Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive in Dublin, VA.
