The Blacksburg Library presents Paws for a Break on Reading Day on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the Cat Café portion of the event has been canceled due to lack to cats at the shelter (hooray for them, sad for us!). We know this is disappointing, but we’re still excited to welcome therapy dogs for plenty of stress-relieving snuggles between 2:00-3:30 PM.

College students, "paws" for a break during Reading Day!

Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be bringing their therapy dogs.

Show your student ID at the circulation desk for free coffee, tea, or hot chocolate all day (while supplies last).

The Blacksburg Library is located at 200 Miller Street in Blacksburg, VA.
