The Last Call Animal Foundation presents their 2025 Clear The Shelters Event on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at The Bad Apple in Pembroke, VA.

August is "Clear the Shelters" month. To celebrate that, and to get some of our longest residents out of the shelters for a day, we're throwing a party! Come out to meet some fantastic animals, speak to shelter workers and volunteers, and maybe even find your furever friend.

Enjoy live music, grab a snack from a local food truck, and try a cocktail or two, all for a good cause!

What to Expect:
• Step into the Forever Hopeful Lounge, where you’ll meet the dogs who have been waiting the longest at the shelters. These resilient, loving animals are ready for a second chance—and this might be their day.
• Visit the Cat Café for cozy cuddles, purring companionship and a chance to adopt your favorite kitty.
• Live Music by Renate Kehlenbeck and The Billiam Duo
• Craft Cocktails
• Specialty Iced Coffees
• Grab a bite from Frosty Fins Food Truck
• Take in the orchard views with friends—furry and otherwise

General admission tickets are $20.00 per person in advance or $30.00 at the door.

Looking for a little something extra? VIP tables are available as well, including an introductory signature cocktail, fresh fruits and cheese plate, and reserved seating.

All proceeds and adoptions will support Mercer County and Giles County Animal Shelters.

Adopters from this event will receive a free grooming appointment courtesy of Gwenderland Grooming, to help their new family members feel fresh and fabulous.
