The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley presents the 2025 Rhythm by the Rails on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Jackson Park in Pulaski, VA.

3:30-4:45 PM: The Draper Line Band
5:00-5:30 PM: Performance by Pulaski Dance Productions
5:45-7:15 PM: Noah Spencer
7:30-9:00 PM: The Mike Mitchell Band
Join us in Jackson Park for a full day of family-friendly activities including live music from this year's line-up of spectacular bands, hands-on art, art demonstrations by local & regional artists, food trucks, kids' fun & art booth and the community art project! From amazing bands to artist demonstrations and community art projects, Rhythm by the Rails has something for all ages.
Mike Mitchell is a singer and songwriter from Floyd, VA specializing in the fiddle and violin. Mike plays traditional and contemporary bluegrass music in the southwest Virginia area.
With his effortless vocals, distinctive songwriting, and instrumental prowess, Mike continues to capture audiences and carve out his own place in bluegrass.
Educated at the Western Conservatory of Music in Ontario, Canada, Mike Mitchell began playing the violin at the age of five. His passion for music led him to a string performance major at Youngstown State University, and more than 10 years of national touring with rock and acoustic ensembles.
Aditionally, Mike performs with the acclaimed mountain music group, Blue Moonshine, and Floyd Time.

He brings a genuine passion to the stage with a voice that's both soft and smooth, but also gritty and soulful. His shows cover a wide range of styles from country to rock, Americana, pop, and gospel. He enjoys singing and playing guitar, drums, piano and the ukulele. He loves to entertain and is always ready to play.
Noah was also a contestant and starred on NBC's "The Voice" in Season 24 advancing to the playoff rounds.
Noah started singing in church when he was 5 years old and picked up his first guitar when he was 11. From there he also picked up drums, piano, bass and even ukulele. He stays busy year round with school and sports, but his ultimate passion is playing music and performing any time he has the chance. His musical influences are broad and include artists from many genres including David Crowder, Shane and Shane, Zac Brown, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton and Jack Johnson just to name a few.

There is free parking in town at nearby lots including across the rails in the Commerce Street lot, behind the Pulaski Theatre, a block away at the County Administration Building and Central Gym, behind the Fire House and plenty of street parking just a block or two away.
