The New River Conservancy presents a Native Tree Giveaway on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Blacksburg Library.

The New River Conservancy is giving away over 1,900 native bare-root seedlings to the community. Stop by to grab some free plants, learn about the New River, and hear more about the New River Conservancy's work in the New River Valley!

Available species include white oak, black willow, northern red oak, pin oak, sassafras, American Linden, mockernut hickory, slippery elm, American elm, black chokeberry (shrub), and shagbark hickory.

The New River Conservancy is dedicated to protecting and preserving the New River Watershed and its inhabitants across three states.
