The Giles Kid's Fishing Day Committee hosts the 20th Annual Giles Kids Fishing Day event on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Narrows Town Park.

Event Schedule:
• 9:00-9:30 AM: Only Ages 3-8 Can Fish
• 9:30 AM: Ages 9-15 Can Fish
• 10:00 AM: Ice Cream Truck Opens
• 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM: Kids Zone Area

This event is an important and positive influence on the children of this community. Our goal is to educate them on the joys of fishing and the dangers of drugs. We want to ensure that the children of Narrows and surrounding communities know that there are far better activities to participate in than drug use.

The first 400 kids will receive a free shirt and gift bag. There are over 200 golden ticket prizes the will be awarded as well that must be redeemed at the prize tent prior to 1:00 PM. Lunch will be sold by the Narrows Volunteer Fire Department and Scoops Ice Cream. Kids Zone activities will be available on the tennis courts including face painting, giant block building, bubble station, giveaways, giant Jenga, games and more for ages 1-15.

There is a catch limit of six trout per child. All fish must be weighed in by 12:45 PM.

Adults may assist children fishing, but may not fish alone.

This is a free event for ages 3-15 years.

This is a great day to enjoy with your family and we hope to see you there!

Gates open at 8:00 AM and all fishing for ages 3-15 without a fishing license ends at 2:00 PM.
