Description:
Sustainable Blacksburg continues their Lunch and Learn series with the event titled "Landscaping with Native Plants" on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 offered both in-person at the Blacksburg Library or online on Zoom.
Learn about basic design elements for your outdoor space and explore ways to incorporate native plants to create colorful and useful spaces in your yard. See examples of these hard-working beauties, many of which will be available at the VA Native Plant Society summer plant sale.
Speaker Lori Jones graduated with a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University. She has worked as a Landscape Architect for years and an educator at the Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation. Lori is a long standing member of the New River Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society and believes whatever difficulties one has with their gardens can be solved with native plants.
