The Cameron Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship Foundation presents the Annual Color Me Cameron 5K Color Run / Walk on Saturday, April 8, 2023 starting and ending at Randolph Park in Dublin, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 8:00-9:30 AM: Registration
• 10:00 AM: Run / Walk begins

The "Color Me Cameron" is a Celebration of Life with a whirlwind of color that will blow you away! Be a part of this untimed let yourself go crazy, 5K, color filled, kind of event. Join us for a one day, feel good kinda day, filled with laughter, happiness, hope, love, joy, peace, music, door prizes, smiles and lots & lots of color!

The "Color Me Cameron" is completely representative of Cameron Fitzwater and was created to Celebrate the Life of Cameron Taylor Fitzwater while raising money for scholarships each year. In Cameron’s memory, four $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually. The scholarships signify the passing on of the future Cameron had planned for himself to others. It is about turning tragedy into triumph and building community spirit.

All participant registrations go directly to the scholarships. The money needed to purchase supplies and the wonderful door prizes are all generously given through the kindness of businesses, churches, individuals, family and friends, This allows everyone from the donors to the participants to be a part of this event.

The Color Me Cameron event is $30.00 per person for adults and kids 10 and under will receive free admission with a paid adult. T-shirts are not included.

The "Color Me Cameron" is a celebration of a life well lived. Cameron touched so many lives in his short time here on earth and he continues to touch lives today though the good works he left behind and the legacy he left in the hearts of all who knew him. He is remembered for his adventurous spirit, his sense of humor, his ability to turn any situation into a good one, and his contagious smile. He inspired others to love God, appreciate nature, live big, dream big, embrace their fears, and to never give up.

Cameron wrote: "Kindle the fire within yourself. Use its light to stay the path. No matter how hard it gets stay ever cheerful." This is how Cameron lived his life every day.
