The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the Visiting Artist Recital featuring Violinist Donna Fairbanks on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Creativity and Innovation District Building on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Donna Fairbanks currently serves as Professor of Music (Violin and Viola) at Utah Valley University. She has soloed with several orchestras including the Charleston Symphony, Utah Symphony, Orquestra Sinfonica de Londrina in Brazil, Elkhorn Festival Orchestra, among others. She has given recitals in Mexico, Brazil, China, Europe, and the United States. Notable venues include the Gent Festival in Belgium, Schumann Festival in Germany, Rotterdam Conservatory, Hungarian National Gallery, Teatro Ouro Verde in Brazil, and the Nanjing, Shanxi, and Huazhong Universities in China.
She has recorded CDs with Albany Records, MSR Classics, 4TAY Records, and Tantara Records.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The Creativity and Innovation District Residence Hall is located at 185 Kent Street in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
