Science on Tap - New River Valley presents their April program titled "Get Outside! Nature-Based Education and Civic Engagement" on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.
This month, Science on Tap NRV invites guest speaker Gates Palissery, a Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health PhD student and VT's Science Policy Club President. Carol Davis (Town of Blacksburg) and Bethany Bookout (New River Land Trust) join them to collaboratively discuss our local nature-based youth education and advocacy programs.
Come ready to learn and engage with kid-friendly tools using the natural resources of our very own Heritage Park backyard. There will also be giveaways and prizes!
This event is kid and family friendly.
Admission is free.
Science on Tap - New River Valley is a monthly event with science-inspired speakers, performers, and discussions. We support bringing science to our community and our community’s support to local research.
We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together and mingle.
