The Milk Parlor hosts a Benefit Concert with Dumpster Raccoons and Earth Daze for Active Minds at Virginia Tech on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Dumpster Raccoons are a Blacksburg, VA based band.

Earth Daze is a psychedelic rock band from Blacksburg, VA.

The cost is $5.00 for those 21 and older and $7.00 for those under the age of 21.

A portion of the proceeds will be going to active minds who do incredible work educating the community about mental health.

Active Minds is a student-led mental health group and non-profit organization that works to raise awareness about mental health on college campuses, fight the stigma surrounding mental health, raise funds for critical mental health education and resources, promote positive mental health and wellness, educate students and educators about the signs and symptoms of mental health disorders, and encourage students who are struggling to reach out and seek help.

The chapter at Virginia Tech has organized events like Send Silence Packing, Mental Wellness Week, movie screenings, a speaker from the JCK Foundation and the Spring Semester Finals Extravaganza.

Doors open at 7:00 PM and the music starts at 7:30 PM.
