Lyric Theatre presents The Academy Awards on The Big Screen on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Join us for a celebration of the best movies of 2022 as we stream the Academy Awards Ceremony on the Lyric's screen.
Doors open at 6:30 PM for all the Red Carpet action and the paparazzi will be on hand. Attendees are encouraged to dress their best. Prizes will be given for Most Glamorous, Best Movie Costume, and best Group Costume/Outfit. In addition, Blue Ridge Mountain Catering is going to be serving up tasty movie themed treats.
Our master of ceremonies for the evening will be Mark Blane. Mark is a New York/Los Angeles based actor, writer and filmmaker originally from Indiana, currently residing in Blacksburg.
General admission is $25.00 for adults and $12.00 for students and includes a light buffet and refreshment ticket.

For extra fun, The Simmons Law Firm is sponsoring an Oscar Ballot with a grand prize of up to $500! Ballots can be picked up at the Lyric Theatre beginning February 1st.
Doors open at 6:30 PM and the Academy Awards Ceremony begins at 8:00 PM.
