The Center for Rural Education at Virginia Tech presents the 2023 Rural Film Festival on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at The Lyric Theatre.

Join the Center for Rural Education at Virginia Tech for an evening of celebrating rural culture through film and music! Featured films include works by Appalshop, the Appalachian Retelling Project, Patagonia Films, and more!

After the film showings, a panel discussion featuring individuals from Virginia Tech, The Virginia Harm Reduction Coalition and other location organizations will lead us in engaging discussion and dialogue about the rural issues and experiences explored in the films.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Attendees who are 21 and older will also receive one free drink ticket.
