Sustainable Blacksburg continues their Lunch and Learn series with the event titled "Become a Tree Rescuer!" on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 offered both in-person at the Blacksburg Library or online on Zoom.

Join Sustainable Blacksburg and the Blacksburg Library to learn about the launch of a new program to preserve trees in our area and how you can help. A mature tree has far greater benefits than a sapling for stormwater capture, carbon sequestration, cooling and other ecosystem services. Following the lead of a successful Northern Virginia program, we will show how anyone can take action to protect our local trees.

Sustainable Blacksburg (VA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit community organization whose mission is to enhance our region’s livability by reducing our impact on our regional environment.
